61 pounds--and reaching my official goal!!!

I know 7 months worth of weight loss posts is probably getting old. But for my own sake, (and because my mom asked to see my dress) I wanted to post an official after picture! Yesterday at my weigh in, I OFFICIALLY reached my weight loss goal weight at my Weight Watcher meeting and I WAS SO excited! I feel as though it's been a long time coming--and it was an incredible feeling to finally get there.

In case you don't remember my 50 pound before and after post, I snagged one of my before pictures to refresh your memory as to how I was before. I bought this black dress as my reward when I lost 50 pounds...and am looking for the perfect pair of shoes to go with it for my 60 pound prize! :) Though, when it comes down to it, losing the weight was truly the BEST gift of all (regardless of how cliche it sounds! :)

I started my weight loss count down from my pre-Carter-pregnancy weight...
186 pounds

And I weigh in now on that same scale...
125 pounds
(thinking the .2 is from the glass of water and toast I ate before weighing because I forgot I was going to do this!)

I know I've said it before, but I just have to say it again. This has truly been an incredible, fulfilling journey. I have learned more about myself the past few months than I have the past 30 years. :) Thank you all for letting me share these lessons, and write about my triumphs and struggles along the way. It has meant the world to me to have such a fantastic support system.

 I know meeting my goal is a stopping place as far as the numbers on the scale, but I am grateful for the things I have learned and the eating habits I've changed, and the physical activity I am so passionate about now--those are the things that I will carry with me and continue working and improving the rest of my life.

ALSO, I started a new blog project to track my meals through the day with pictures and recipe links, mainly as a reference for myself to go back and look at and for my friends and family whore trying to lose weight as well.
